Notification Consent — Email & SMS

Vespy, Inc. ("Vespy", "we", "us", "our") offers email and text message (SMS/MMS) notifications as part of our property management platform. This page describes how we obtain, manage, and honor your consent for both email and SMS communications.


Notification Categories

Vespy notifications are organized into the following categories. You can independently control email and SMS delivery for each category through your Notification Settings:

Compliance Lease and document expiration alerts
Messaging Conversations and direct messages
Statements Owner statements and reporting summaries
Payments Charges, payments, and deposits
Leasing Tenants, leases, properties, and documents

You may also select a delivery timing preference (e.g., Immediate) for each category.


Opt-In Workflow

Vespy users manage text message preferences from the Notification Settings page. The workflow includes Vespy branding, notification categories, separate Email and SMS controls, the mobile number field, the SMS consent checkbox, and the SMS consent and disclosure text displayed next to the controls.

Users have account access to review and control their notification channels, SMS consent, mobile number, and category preferences at any time.

Email Notifications

How to Opt In

To receive email notifications, toggle the Email switch on for any category in your Notification Settings. Each category can be enabled or disabled independently. Turning on a category's email toggle opts you in to receive email notifications for that category at the email address associated with your Vespy account.

How to Opt Out

You may opt out of email notifications at any time by:

  • Toggling off the Email switch for a specific category in your Notification Settings.
  • Clicking the unsubscribe link included at the bottom of any notification email. No further emails will be sent for that category.
  • Contacting us at support@getvespy.com with the subject line "Email Opt-Out."

Opt-out requests are honored within 10 business days. After opting out, you may still receive essential transactional emails (e.g., password resets, security alerts, payment confirmations) that are necessary for the operation of your account.

Not a Condition of Service

Opting in to email notifications is entirely voluntary and is not a condition of purchasing any product or service from Vespy.


SMS / Text Message Notifications

How to Opt In

We only send text messages to users who have explicitly opted in. To enable SMS notifications:

  1. Navigate to My Account > My Notifications in your Vespy account.
  2. Enter the US mobile phone number where you want to receive text messages.
  3. Review and check the SMS consent checkbox confirming you agree to receive text message notifications from Vespy at the mobile number provided.
  4. Select Agree & save number.
  5. Toggle the SMS switch on for each notification category you wish to receive by text message, then save your changes.

All steps are required. Text notifications are sent only to a saved mobile number with the consent checkbox checked, and only for categories where the user has enabled the SMS switch. SMS is optional; users can keep using Vespy with in-app and email notifications without enabling SMS.

Consent Language

When opting in, you agree to the following:

"I agree to receive text message notifications from Vespy about my account (such as maintenance, payment, leasing, and messaging alerts) at the mobile number provided. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of any purchase or service."

Mobile opt-in data and consent records are used to provide Vespy notifications and are not shared with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

Types of SMS Messages

If you opt in, you may receive text messages related to:

  • Maintenance request updates and status changes
  • Rent payment reminders and confirmations
  • Lease renewal notifications
  • Urgent property alerts (e.g., emergency maintenance)
  • Compliance and document expiration reminders
  • Account security notifications (e.g., two-factor authentication codes)

Message frequency varies based on your account activity and the categories you have enabled. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply.

How to Opt Out of SMS

You may revoke your consent and stop receiving text messages at any time by:

  • Replying STOP to any text message you receive from Vespy.
  • Removing your phone number from the Text message (SMS) notifications section in your Notification Settings.
  • Unchecking the consent checkbox in your Notification Settings.
  • Toggling off the SMS switch for specific categories.
  • Contacting us at support@getvespy.com with the subject line "SMS Opt-Out."

After opting out, you will receive a one-time confirmation message, and no further text messages will be sent unless you opt in again.

If you are experiencing issues with email or text message notifications, or need assistance managing your preferences:

  • SMS: Reply HELP to any text message from Vespy.
  • Email or general: Contact us at support@getvespy.com.

Privacy

Your email address, phone number, and notification consent data are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell, rent, or share your email address, phone number, or mobile opt-in information with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes. Consent data is not shared with any third party except the service providers used to deliver notifications on our behalf.

Carrier Disclaimer

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message and data rates may apply. Check with your carrier for details about your text messaging plan.
